Grüneberg is a traditional village, typical fort he region. It was founded some 800 years ago. Today, its population counts about 1500. An medieval stone church defines the centre of the village. Traditional farmhouses, private homes, some shops and inns can be found in this overall quiet settlement. Important infrastructure exists: train station, primary school, Kindergarten, physician's office for example.
Wohnpark Grüneberg is an extension of the village to the south, located on a hill with unobstructed views into the vast landscape. A large lake of some 170 hectares, the Dretzsee, is situated half a mile to the southwest. |
